Game Film Evaluated:
West Virginia (2013 & 2014)

Pros: Gets good depth in his drop, can anchor versus a bull rush. Has a long reach and can neutralize the outside rush. He has the ability to bury and maul his man using his power and weight. He has good balance and stays on his feet. Saw time at LT when starter was injured in 2013 game. He is an absolute mauler when he drives with his legs in space, look out. He played mostly at RT during the game film observed but his strength, ability to get to 2nd level gives upside to play guard

Cons: Struggles to hit the moving target. Bit of a waist bender and can get caught reaching. Needs to improve his footwork especially in the run game to set the edge. He can get to the second level but hitting the target is a struggle. He is capable of turning his man but needs to keep his hands inside the shoulders to prevent holding. Struggles to change directions, makes him vulnerable to counter moves. Must become consistent in his footwork.

Senior Bowl Report:

Summary: Darryl Williams is an impressive right tackle prospect, he has the power, ability to neutralize most pass rushers and be a plus run blocker. He is able to handle pass rushers on the outside and anchor versus power rushers too. He must improve his footwork and bend at his knees more to be able to recover when beaten and withstand counter moves NFL rushers will throw at him. He has the tools to play guard in the NFL but he is good enough to stay at right tackle in my opinion and contribute early on in a starting role. Mid-2nd round player.
