Game
Film Evaluated:
Pros: He
moves very well, has quick feet. Slides very well in protection. Gets out in
space and can hit the moving target.
Cons: Needs
to improve hand placement, keep them inside the defender. A grabber at this
point. He’s not a mauler type lineman, doesn’t blow people off the line at the
snap. Doesn’t have a huge pop to him at initial contact. Needs to add some
tenacity to his game, he doesn’t look to punish people or finish blocks. In
pass protection, he fails to keep head on a swivel to look for rushers. He gets
tunnel vision and doesn’t appear to help his guards often when available.
Summary: Hroniss
Grasu has some upside but there is lot to be desired watching his game film. He
is capable of getting out in space to take 2nd level blocks,
completely handle himself in pass protection and be adequate in the run game.
However he has not developed any engage strength to drive his man off the line.
He has the look of just an average lineman who should be more. He could play in
any scheme but someone needs to light a fire under him and get the player he
should be in a few years. I project him to a 4th round pick who is a
backup lineman early in his career.
