2017 All Knucklehead Team

It is that time to unveil my "All Knucklehead Team".  The list consist of eligible NFL Draft prospects who have significant off the field concerns or even on the field knucklehead decisions.  This idea came from listening to Norm Hitzges show on KTCK AM 1310 in Dallas, home of the only radio station in the country that covers the draft pick by pick.

Unfortunately, this team has become increasingly less difficult to fill out each year thanks to colleges complete disregard for character in recruiting, the price of winning.  To their credit, the offensive line is consistently the hardest position to fill which is a good thing.

You can find prior teams here.

2016 Team

2015 Team

2014 Team

Enough talk, onto to the list!

QUARTERBACK

Chad Kelly, Ole Miss – Dismissed from Clemson for “conduct detrimental to the team” in April 2014. Just eight months later, arrested for allegedly punching a bouncer at a bar, threatening to open gun fire in the bar and getting into an altercation with policy upon his arrest.

RUNNINGBACK
Joe Mixon, Oklahoma – Suspended entire 2014 season after punching a female student after she shoved him. He publically apologized after video of the incident was released more than two years later. Also suspended for one game in 2016 for disrespecting a parking attendant after receiving a ticket.
Dalvin Cook, Florida State – Arrested for battery after allegedly punching a woman in the face at a bar, later cleared of. In 2014, cited for mistreating 3 chained up pit bull puppies.

WIDE RECEIVER
Dede Westbrook, Oklahoma – Accused of domestic violence against the mother of his two children in 2012 and 2013. Never convicted in either case.
Chad Williams, Grambling State – Charged with marijuana possession and possession of firearms after LSU campus police investigated a parked vehicle he was sitting in. Suspended for one game as a result.

TIGHT END
Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas – Suspended for the Belk bowl game when he went shopping with his $450 gift card to Belk department store and ended up stealing items from the game sponsor.
Pharaoh Brown, Oregon – Two fights with teammates and a domestic violence incident. Authorities declined to press charges against Brown after it was determined the girlfriend was the instigator.

OFFENSIVE LINE
Cam Robinson, Alabama – Faced misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana and illegally carrying a firearm and a felony charge for possession of a stolen firearm. The Louisiana DA dropped the charges mainly because he “refuse[s] to ruin the lives of two young men who spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were in the air conditioning”.
Dion Dawkins, Temple – Involved in an assault outside a Philadelphia night club in March 2015, served in a diversionary program and was not suspended for the incident.
Jessamen Dunker, Tennessee State – Arrested for grand theft of a motor scooter in January 2013. Also was “driving” with a suspended license. He transferred from Florida to Tennessee State as a result.

DEFENSIVE LINE
Tim Williams, Alabama – Failed multiple drug tests at Alabama although never suspended. Did miss the first half against Kentucky in 2016 resulting from arrest due to a misdemeanor gun charge.
Al-Quadin Muhammad, Miami/Hampton – Suspended for the 2014 season stemming from an altercation after the spring game and then dismissed for the 2016 season after an NCAA investigation where he received illicit benefits from a luxury car company.
Ralph Green III, Indiana – He allegedly slapped a woman for not dancing with him at a bar prior to the 2015 season.
Josh Tupou, Colorado – Suspended 2015 season after charged with assault from a campus party.
Caleb Brantley, Florida - Charged with a misdemeanor simple battery after an altercation with a woman in Gainesville, Florida. He allegedly knocked the woman unconscious suffering dental injuries that will require surgery weeks before the draft.

LINEBACKERS
Jermaine Grace, Miami – Dismissed from Miami for the 2016 season due to his involvement with the luxury car company with teammate Al-Quadin Muhammad.
Ukeme Eligwe, Florida State/Georgia Southern – Dismissed from Florida State in 2014 due to “too many positive marijuana tests”.

CORNERBACKS
Aarion Penton, Missouri – Cited twice for marijuana possession in 2014.
Teez Tabor, Florida – Suspended from all team activites and 2016 season opener. Head coach Jim McElwain said it was due to “behavior that is not acceptable”. He was also suspended in September 2015 for declining to take a drug test and went on twitter to say the athletic department “sucks” and earlier in the year when said that college football is a “modern form of slavery”.
Jourdan Lewis, Michigan – Reportedly charged with one count of domestic violence for an incident involving his girlfriend about a month before the draft.
Gareon Conley, Ohio State - He was implicated in an alleged sexual assault in Cleveland just days before the draft.  The evidence is unclear but teams will have to determine whether they will invest a high pick in someone implicated in an alleged sexual assault.

SAFETIES
Josh Harvey-Clemons – Georgia/Louisville – Two suspensions for failed marijuana tests led to his dismissal from Georgia.
